An update on my previous poem.

Shooting star, oh shooting star,
Tormentor of my soul;
Why must your promise be so bright,
But your aim be so low?
A streak across the blurry sky,
You seek to aid my cause;
With your misfortune behind my lips,
Guiding thoughts that never pause.
"A gentle kiss, or something close",
Affection is my goal;
"A lovely hand to touch my cheek",
Something I'll never know.
So shooting star, oh shooting star,
Even though you shine so bright;
You bring your promises with you,
When you steal into the night.
